Afterwards he invited all of our group members to the celebration at the basement of the physcis building.

Universe Award 2016 by Simone Biondini

Our former Ph.D student Dr. Simone Biondini (now a postdoc at University of Bern) has been honored with the Universe Award 2016 for his Ph.D thesis on the ''leptogenesis via sterile neutrinos at finite temperature''. The ceremony was held during the Science Week of the Excellence Cluster.

Ph.D Defense by Matthias Berwein 2016

Our Ph.D student Matthias Berwein has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis on the Poincare invariance in low-energy effective field theory, quakonium hybrids, and Polyakov loops (especially with the highest honors: Summa cum Laude). After that he and his family have cordially invited all of our group to the celebration at the basement of the physcis building.

Confinement XII

Members of the T30f group have participated the twelfth edition of the conference "Quark confinement and the hadron spectrum (Confinement XII)". This conference aims to bring together people working in QCD and strong-interaction dynamics. It took take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from the 28th of August until the 4th of September 2016.

The conference website as well as an article on the conference are available.

Sommergrill 2016

Our group celebrated the beginning of summer 2016 with a barbecue on 15th of July, as it has been our tradition. Prof. Norbert Kaiser as well as members of T39 and Dr. Andreas Kronfeld from Fermilab/TUM-IAS were our guests.

Lattice Gauge Theory and Effective Field Theory 2016

From 18th to 21st of May, 2016, our group in collaboration with Dr. Andreas Kronfeld (Fermilab and TUM-IAS) have organized the symphosium, Lattice Gauge Theory and Effective Field Theory 2016, which took place at TUM-IAS. Many leading scientists have participated during this time.

Ph.D Defense by Simone Biondini 2016

Our Ph.D student Simone Biondini has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis on the leptogenesis via Sterile neutrinos at finite temperature. After that he and his family have cordially invited all of our group to the celebration at the theory kitchen.

Korean Dinner 2016

Ph.D student Kiesang Jeong from Yonsei Univ. (Seoul) have visited our group from the middle of December until the end of April, 2016. A week before leaving for South Korea, he has cordially invited all of us for the farewell party at the theory kitchen, for which traditional Korean dishes were prepared by him.

Sommergrill 2015

As it has been a tradition, our group celebrated the beginning of summer with a barbecue on 23rd of July this year. Prof. Norbert Kaiser from T39, Prof. Mark Alford from Washington University at St. Louis, and Prof. Peter Petreczky from Brookhaven National Laboratory were our guests.

Article on the QWG activities in the CERN courier

CERN courier article

Following the realisation of the 10th Quarkonium Working Group (QWG) Workshop in CERN last November, an article about the event appeared in the April (2015) issue of the CERN courier. The article, written by professors Brambilla and Vairo, summarizes the history and perspectives in quarkonium research and the QWG. In addition the article highlights some of the important topics covered in the conference that also served as a celebration of the first forty years of quarkonium physics.

Quarkonium 2014

Members of the T30f group were active participants of the 10th edition of the Quarkonium Working Group meeting of which Prof. Brambilla and Prof. Vairo are conveners. The conference was held in CERN, Geneva, from 10 - 14 November 2014.

The talks of the members of the group are available in the talks section.

Confinement XI

Members of the T30f group have participated the eleventh edition of the conference "Quark confinement and the hadron spectrum (Confinement XI)". This conference aims to bring together people working in QCD and strong-interaction dynamics. It took take place in the St. Petersburg, Russia, from 8 - 12 September 2014.

The conference website is still available here.

The group as of July 2014.

Sommergrill 2014

As it is tradition, last July the group celebrated the beginning of Summer with a Barbecue. Profs. Norbert Kaiser and Mark Alford were our guests.
